In her new book, Through the Valley of Grief, she offers readers reflections and devotional resources from her personal journey through profound loss. They discuss finding comfort in God's presence, particularly in challenging times. Maddie speaks about clinging to Jesus and God's goodness amid adversity. Mattie Jackson is a bestselling author, podcaster, and speaker. She lost her husband, Ben Selecman, a few weeks before their one-year anniversary in September 2018 after he suffered a traumatic brain injury. Jackson has dedicated herself to helping others in their grief, working with her business partner, Brooke Tometich, in managing NaSHEville, a philanthropic organization that supports women and children in need—specifically orphans, widows, and trafficked women. In 2023, Jackson married Connor Smith, and they live in Tennessee.
